Gidi's family left Israel to the states after the 1973 'Yom Kippur' War. His grandfather, Meller, was the only family member that stayed in Israel, mourning the lost of his beloved son who was killed in battle. After few months in Sam Francisco Gidi decides to return to Israel by himself, and to live with his grandfather at the Israeli Kibbutz. He finds it hard to fit in the Kibutz socienty. He quickly finds that the way to win the hearts of the Kibutz teenagers is through music. He also helps his grandfather to cope with the lose of his beloved son.
'Shablool" is a musical based on the well-known Israeli songs of Shalom Chanoch and Arik Einstein, two of the most important musicians in the Israeli culture.
