The Mediatheque Children’s Theater is proud to present a new adaptation of Mira Lube’s literary classic, “The Children’s Island” (Insu-Pu). Captivating the hearts of children and adults around the world for more than 70 years, the play tells the story of 6 British children who try to escape the constant bombings of World War II and set sail to America.
When their ship hits a mine, the 6 kids board a life boat that breaks loose and drifts into the dark ocean unnoticed.
Stranded on a deserted island, the 6 kids realize they must overcome their differences and work together to survive. As days go by and with no one to coming to their rescue, they learn how to use their individual abilities to build a home on the island.
But what happens when one of the kids goes against the group? Will they survive a conflict that might lead to life threatening situation? Will they find a way off the island and return home safely?
A thrilling, adventurous play about a courage, friendships and hope.
